The shovel loading mechanism of the side dump rock loader consists of a bucket, bucket base, luffing arm, lifting cylinder, bucket cylinder, and side-dumping cylinder, all connected by articulated shafts. The luffing arm, bucket cylinder, bucket base, and frame together form a double-crank four-bar linkage.
The bucket has an arc-shaped cross-section, with a sidewall on one side and an open side featuring a curved lip. This shape reduces insertion resistance, increases insertion depth, and improves fill efficiency. Changing the side discharge direction requires simply swapping the sidewall and lip. The teeth are bolted to the bucket, making them easy to replace if worn.
